Describe the work you do at the Credit Union.
I oversee member experience efforts, collaborating with managers and team members to ensure we’re enhancing our service culture. This includes overseeing all the member feedback received through surveys and other means. I also work on developing new experience initiatives to help retain and engage new and existing members. It’s a very fulfilling role, especially when we’re able to improve the member experience with new innovations.
What was your first job?
I was an in-seat server at Staples Center back in 2000.
How did you come to be an SCE Credit Union team member?
I met our former Chief Operating Officer at a gala and after speaking about my experience, he informed me about a role within the Boyle Heights community. The role was for Branch Manager at the soon to be re-opened Boyle Heights branch. At the time, I had five years of branch management and business development experience at another credit union, along with learning and development experience for a non-profit focused on educating youth on a career in banking.
How do you spend your free time?
I’m married and have three boys. My hobbies right now include driving my kids to after-school activities and serving as a homework and sleep monitor. My hobbies USED to include golfing, playing videogames, photography, traveling and reading. I do still read from time to time and do a little gaming with my sons.
